The concept of the metaverse is hot, and has gradually moved towards industrial planning and scene application. A large number of enterprises are eager to try, and many places are ahead of others. According to statistics, at present, there are more than 18 meta cosmic industrial parks, bases, gathering areas and pilot areas under construction and completion in China, more than 30 regions have issued supportive policies, and over 20 special metaverse policies have been issued.

It is easy to find out from the analysis of the policies that have been issued that these policies cover park construction, technology research and development, talent support, financial support and others. For example, Nansha District of Guangzhou released the Nine Elements of the Metaverse, proposing to give financial support to the Metaverse scientific research platform that plays a major role in supporting scientific and technological innovation, and provide rent free sites for the Metaverse technology-based SMEs. This reflects the keen sense of seizing development opportunities and market opportunities, which is conducive to the formation of a benign competition pattern, and ultimately promotes China to seize the first opportunity and win the initiative in the blue ocean of the Metaverse.

It is necessary to give rational hints while praising the enthusiasm of working. Although the Metaverse industry is "fragrant", it may not be suitable for all regions at this stage. We should be wary of following the trend with enthusiasm and being detached from reality.

The emergence of a new track means new opportunities, but it also comes with risks. Without fully demonstrating whether the project conforms to its own resource endowment and regional advantages, whether it can form connectivity with upstream and downstream industries, and whether it can better integrate into its own development strategy, it is easy to waste human, material and financial resources or even run the risk of not finishing when others start to follow the trend blindly. This is not without lessons learned. At the early stage of development, the new energy industry has also been competing. Photovoltaics and wind power have blossomed in many places, resulting in phased overcapacity.

Establishing and developing Metaverse Industry cannot have the thought of "picking up all the dishes in the basket". The metaverse is not a "dish" in the general sense. As the carrier of the integration of virtual world and real world, it contains great opportunities for scene change. It is pointed out in the report that in the future, the four major technological trends of network, coding world, virtual reality symbiosis, and unlimited computing power will become the cornerstone of the construction of the metaverse, which requires at least technical support from VR, AR, AI, blockchain, edge computing and other aspects. This shows that the Metaverse is an industry with highly intensive talents and technology and a long upstream and downstream industrial chain, which requires excellent hardware equipment, strong software development capability and good industrial ecology as support. In particular, the current metaverse industry is still in the initial stage of exploration, some technical bottlenecks need to be broken through, the actual application scenarios are not very clear, many standards are not clear, there is no strong talent attraction, high-tech convergence and sustainable capital injection capacity so that it is difficult to "play" the metaverse.

Therefore, when deciding whether to enter the metaverse track or how to enter it, each region should consider its own development level and development orientation comprehensively. This is not to oppose innovation and exploration, but to remind us not to follow blindly and act recklessly. Even if some regions with good development foundation have set foot in the metaverse industry, they should also have a clear goal design and realization path, whether to focus on developing a certain section of the industrial chain, or to build a development highland integrating "innovation chain, research and development chain, talent chain, value chain, and industrial chain", whether to focus on cultivating "specialized and new" enterprises, or to pay more attention to application scenario research and development promotion. All of these should be considered comprehensively. At the same time, the national-level and relevant industry associations should also further strengthen top-level design, enhance industry governance, promote regional cooperation, and form a resultant force for industrial development.
